Faculty

The Department currently employs thirteen Ph.D. faculty members in the areas of Information Technology and Management Metrics, who have demonstrated outstanding performance in research and teaching.
Among them, Prof. Hung-Yu Chien, Distinguished Prof. Ping-Feng Pai, Distinguished Prof. Chun-Che Huang and Prof. Peng-Yeng Yin (retired) have been recognized in the list of top 2% scientists in the world, and Prof. Yen-Cheng Chen has been awarded the University’s Teaching Excellence Award. Prof. Hung-Yu Chien, Distinguished Prof. Ping-Feng Pai, Distinguished Prof. Chun-Che Huang, Prof. Jing-Rung Yu, Distinguished Prof. Yu-Min Wang, Prof. Peng-Yeng Yin (retired) have been awarded the University’s Research Excellence Award.Prof. Mei-Ling Chiang, Prof. Chia-Liang Hung, Prof. Hsiao-Fen Chen, Distinguished Prof. Yu-Min Wang, Prof. Yen-Cheng Chen, Prof. Peng-Yeng Yin (retired), and Prof. Xu-Sheng Yu (retired) have been awarded the University’s Teaching Excellence Award.
The research areas of the faculty include artificial intelligence, big data analysis, information security, information system development, information management, web technology applications, and business management and strategy. The research results have been published in Information & Management, Decision Support System, IEEE Transaction, and other international core and important management journals.
Faculty members in the department use their professional research capabilities to keep pace with the trends in technology and industry development, and conduct professional research and innovative course offerings to continue to cultivate outstanding information management talents and contribute to the competitiveness of the industry.For example, Prof. Jian-Hung Chen promotes the development of software development talents, 3D digital talents, and information talents, etc., in order to cultivate cross-disciplinary talents.
